Cups and Vessels
We have been contemplating what a cup is and how it becomes special to us. I had a coffee cup made by Warren Angle in 1974. It fit me perfectly. Two years ago while washing it I broke it. It was a bit like losing a good friend. Since then I have thought about a cups function as well as its inherent meanings, and I guess it varies with the owner, but for me they are usually simple, small, intimate, and can be held personally.

Our cups are hand spun from .040 copper, and silver, sometimes raised after spinning to attain the final shape, and then enameled. The design is a combination of the shape, and the enamel design. They are usually about places, and the people we share with.
